Specially dedicated to our little boy boy who just turns ONE...

Oh, it’s your very first birthday, boy-boy
Daddy and Mommy had thought about how to celebrate

We thought of making it big and grand, boy-boy

But instead we came to a conclusion to make it exclusive…

We ordered cake from Pine Garden, boy-boy

Lychee martini with simple customization was what they recommended

We wanted to order mini buffer from Four Seasons, boy-boy

In the end we settled for a table of 11 with 2 babies at Pu Tien…

We gathered everyone in our place, boy-boy

Your smile stretched from ear to ear

An icing cake with a single candle to celebrate, boy-boy

The joys of your very first year with gifts and blessings from all…

We sang you a Happy Birthday song, boy-boy

From English to Mandarin version we all sang

We marveled at how quickly the time had flown, boy-boy

Oh my, your first 12 months had been simply so wonderful…

You bring sunshine to our everyday life, boy-boy

You are our treasured prize and we’re just so proud of you

We couldn’t have wished for a better son, boy-boy

Who giggle and cling onto us like Scooby Doobly Do...

For the first 6 months you were really guai (obedient), boy-boy

You sit still in high-chair and were quite quiet for awhile

You spent a lot of time in the pink rocking chair, boy-boy

But when we switched you to walker and you started to smile and fly…

Your favorite is baby bites (biscuit) and yogurt, boy-boy

As for water and milk, you really struggled to swallow

But what you love most is the human company, boy-boy

So everywhere we go, you are sure to follow…

Your determination and temper match Mommy, you know

And you’ve playfully display the stubbornness and frowning like Mommy…

You love to watch peek-a-poo (and baby animation), you know

You’re always excited when we switch on the TV set...

You really love having bath full of bubbles, you know

You make us laugh with your splish, splash and splosh...

Your first words were mun (not mum), ba (not pa) and Aei (not wei), you know

And you love to play with your saliva with “boo-boo”

We would say “1, 2, 3, clap, clap, clap”, you know

And you would put your hand together and clap

We would shout “No, cannot touch”, you know

And you would simply smile at us and ignore our scream…

Now, you’ve started to take your very first steps (assisted), boy-boy

Fast or slow doesn’t matter much...

We look forward now to seeing you progress and grow, boy-boy

Take your own pace; strong and steady is all that we care

BB's 11th month

Our very own funny baby video...We didn't anticipate that a simple "zip and zap" would make our little boy so amused until like that...Funny baby!

BB's 10th month

At 10th month, our little boy has only 5 teeth (3 upper teeth and 2 lower teeth). Look at his grin with the 2 visible teeth, isn't it cute?

Progress wise, he can only manage to stand up without support for mere 1 minute (provided no movement) before his legs turned jelly and fell on the floor. At this stage, he still can neither crawl nor walk. All he can do or loves to do is clinging onto anyone (hugz hugz) and shouting out "aei" (similar to "wei") to the familiar faces he knew or places where he frequent regularly (the chicken rice stall opposite our block) .

He's still the little sunshine in our house who never fails to brighten up our everyday life. But he is a little timid (or a lot?) though. Sometimes, he can easily be frightened by unfamiliar faces (stranger anxiety) when the "stranger" appeared suddenly and touched him. But he will gladly or happily open his arms wide wide to anyone if he wants to be carried (Oh, No!).

Father's Day Special - To Daddy with LOVE!

Mommy (on little Zheng Jie's behalf) wanted to give Daddy a small wallet-size picture of us for his FIRST Father's Day gift.

Since Mommy and Daddy love the picture of little Zheng Jie in his bath-tub so much that Mommy feels that Daddy would want to carry this lovely little piece of picture with him always; day and night; in and out of office and home; anywhere and anytime...

BB's 9th Month Special - A fun day at Cousin's place!

Guess no need for me to elaborate...

Lots of, Lots of and Lots of TOYS...

It was simply FUN and FUN and FUN...HURRAY!!!

My First Hair-cut

I have so little hair already yet Daddy still wants me to go for a hair-cut. I have not been to any of the hair salon ever since I was borned. I wanted to tell Daddy to save the $5 shave and the hassle but guess Daddy couldn't get my hint at all.

I did not really enjoyed the session because the HDB hair salon aunty was so slow in shaving my "already-so-botak" head. After about 10-15mins of torture, the session finally ended with all the leftover hair strands on my face, neck and back.

But boy, I felt so refreshing after the shave! And even much more refreshing after a really nice cool bath! Cool!!!

MY FIRST 2 SWIM FEATS

FIRST SWIM FEAT
I had my FIRST "swimming" trial at the pool finally. If not for my cousin Zavier, I guess I would not have got the chance to step into the pool even before I turn One. Thanks to my buddy!!!
To prepare me for the "swim", Daddy and Mummy bought a nice piece of swim suits for me (last minute shopping again). But they were so absent-minded that they forgotten to bring the most important swimming gear(the FLOAT) on my FIRST "FLOATING" session. What a let-down! Luckily my cousin was so kind to share his FLOAT with me.

SECOND SWIM FEAT
Again, thanks to my cousin, I was able to "dip" into the pool for the second time. I love my second "dip". It was definitely much more fun than the first one.

Picture paints a thousand words. Look at the big satisfying smile on my face and you will know that I was enjoying the "swim" (on a FLOAT) to the fullest. Can't wait for the next session!!!

BB's 7th Month

Uncle Anton is teaching our little baby to walk...Ah Qi is oblivious to the danger that our little boy may fall and land on him. Jia You, Jia You, little boy. But no hurry to master the walking skill cos Daddy and Mummy are still enjoying the privilege of having you clinging on us like Koala bear. 8)

Ok, ok, Mommy admit she's lazy. Furthermore, it's much more convenient to get the food off the shelf. Save a lot of hassle, you know.
But don't you agreed that the jar food is much more tastier than the pasta that Daddy prepare for you? keke...
(Well, at least Daddy made the effort to prepare and cook food for little Zheng Jie. Kudos to Daddy!!!!)

BB's 6th month

We have never failed to see the wide smile on our little boy's face for every bathing session. Gosh, look at how big he has grown. It's only the 6th month but look at him...the bath tub seem small to fit him now.

Daddy said he will teach little Zheng Jie to swim "one day". Little Zheng Jie gotta be patience, ok? The "one day" maybe a year later. keke. A Pity Mommy doesn't know how to swim (doesn't like swimming either). So, will leave the swimming task to superb Daddy!!!

BB's 5th month

So, how's our little one progressing?

In his 5th month already and he's still growing strong (rounder as well) each day...
However, a surprise twist...PD commented that he's well-developed and close to perfect for his height and weight. It's in the right percentile. Perfect? Did Daddy & Mommy heard wrongly? Perfect range indeed!!!

No grumble so far...
Time to eat, he eats...
Time to play, he plays...
Time to sleep, he sleeps...
BUT not when there's people and activities around...

Our little one yearns for attention...
Especially when he sees people or hears noise.
Most importantly, he loves to be kissed, carried and hugged.
How can we ignore a little baby totally?
His innocent look and smile simply melts the Giant's heart...

BB's 4th Month - BBQ & Get-together Day!!!

Hurray, our little boy has passed 4 months already. Growing rounder and rounder each month...

Jad Yi-Yi organised a BBQ cum Get-together session for all of us at Uncle Anton's house. Time to take our little boy out for his first BBQ session.

Some pictures of Little Zheng Jie with Uncle Desmond, Jad and Moon Yi-Yi. Little Zheng Jie seem couldn't wait to get closer to Jad and Moon Yi-Yi at Uncle Anton's house. His eyes kept grazing at Moon Yi-Yi's rainbrow bracers. Bet must have been captivated by the beautiful colours.

We had a little surprise after the BBQ session...
Celebrating Mommy's BDay at the same time. How nice of Moon Yi-Yi to get Mommy's favourite Amara Hotel cake. Yummy!!!

Oh boy, Mommy had wanted to give little Zheng Jie a small taste of the cake but Daddy said "NO". Why? Simply bcos sugar is no good for young babies.

So, guess our little boy have to wait until 1 year of age before he can get his first taste of the cake...

My Little Walker

Putting me on a walker's test??? Wooah...see the big smile on my face? I am having so much fun in this little walker, a gift from, err...dunno who la... Doesn't matter who's the giver so long as it brings me the ultimate fun.

Shoo, shoo, shoo...Little Walker brings me from one end to the other end. I can go to almost every corner in the house now. And I can touch the glass panel, the water feature in the living room and all the things that I longed to touch but could only "watch" previously.

Thanks to the kind one who bought me this very useful little walker!!!

Well-fed? Over-fed???

Oh man...So many people have been commenting our little baby is a bit way over-rounded. Well, well, the rounder the better and more adorable, isn't so?

Little Zheng Jie had his 2nd jab of 6-in-1 plus the 1st vaccine of rotavirus taken at the GP clinic today. Daddy took the opportunity to ask the doc to take the weight measurement for our little boy. Oh boy, 7.45kg. Doc said slightly over the average weight for a 3 months old baby.

Well, well...does it means that our little boy needs to cut down on his intake?? Daddy said no need to worry since both Daddy and Mommy were also "very well-rounded" when we were both babies. May have to worry if little Zheng Jie is still rounded at the age of 1yr then??? Well, we'll see...

BB's 3rd Month - Roll over!! Roll over!!

Wow, 3rd month already. How time flies!!!
It's about time for our little one to learn to roll over, roll over and roll over!!!

Granny tried to guide little Zheng Jie to flip and turn one day but with little success. Mommy tried to encourage little Zheng Jie to roll forth and back with little success too. Little Zheng Jie still could not grasp the technic and still prefers to lie on his back rather than on stomach. So, when will our little boy start to flip and turn on his own???

But Daddy seem happy that little Zheng Jie is simply contented to just lie on his back than rolling all over the place. Daddy likes everything slow and steady...no rush, no rush...take your time, little darling, take your time...

YH : Hey, tang ge, do you like my rocking chair? See you smiling so happily. Must be very comfortable, right?

ZJ : Hee...Yes, my dear little tang di. Yours really comfortable. I want to ask Mommy and Daddy to get one for me too...

ZJ : Shh...my little tang di is having an appointment with Zhou Gong now. Quiet, everybody and no disturb, ok? Sweet dream, little boy boy, sweet sweet dream...

BB's 2nd month

Yes, yes...Mommy knows that I have been slow in updating this blogz. Mommy's been busy with little Zheng Jie ever since Mommy start to take care of little Zheng Jie alone. How Mommy wish that Daddy also got more days of paternity leaves to help taking care of little Zheng Jie too. Anyway, see how our little one has grown. Mommy must have been feeding little Zheng Jie quite well, right? keke...

Look how chubby our little one is. Amazingly weighing 4.8kg within 6 weeks. A far cry from the initial 2.8kg during birth.

ZJ : Look at my double chin and you will know that I have been very well-fed.

ZJ : Ok, it's feeding time now...Waiting eagerly for my good feed...Where's Mommy?

ZJ : Hmm...how come still no feed for me yet? Where's Mommy? Errk..Waiting...

ZJ : Errk.. I want my milk milk...Daddy, can you ask Mommy to hurry???

ZJ : Errk...Waah...I WANT MY MILK MILK NOW...NOW...Waahhhh...

(Deafening cries trembled the whole block when our little one cries)

BB's 1ST MONTH (12 Oct 2006)

Full month celebration on 14 Oct 06

Good morning, little one. how are you doing today? It's your full month celebration today. All the Gou Gou (brothers) and Jie Jie (sisters), Shu Shu (uncles) and Yi Yi (aunties) will be visiting you today. So happy, right?

You were so active and happy in the morning. But by noon, you were already exhausted and so cranky that Daddy and Mommy had difficulty to handle you. Even cuddling and singing didn't help. Luckily got your Granny to cuddle and rock you before your cries trembled the whole block. You were so fast asleep in Granny's arms by the time the first well-wisher (Daddy's friend, Andy Gou-Gou) came. So amazed that you could sleep peacefully throughout the day even with so much noise and so many well-wishers going in and out of the bedroom. Pei fu! Pei fu!

Morning exercise - kickboxing for 10mins

Look how happy our little one is in the morning. Must be looking forward to see pretty and handsome Yi-Yi and Gou-Gou.
